Bee Crafty and Crazy 4 Challenges

This fortnight at Bee Crafty we are celebrating 1 year of Bee Crafty fun and craftiness!!!

Yep....It's Bee Crafty's Birthday!!!
Woo Hoo!!
Congratulations Merrigan!!

So in honor of the Merrigan and Bee Crafty's accomplishments this year and the party going on over at the Bee Crafty Blog, I used Fluffy Bunny Birthday!!
This is one adorable image and can be used for boys or girls:

I created a little gift with a ribbon and button bow, accompanied by a small card....Fluffy Bunny Birthday adds all the cuteness necessary for an adorable gift bundle!!!

How to play: This fortnights theme is 'Birthday.'
Make a craft item (card or other) with a birthday theme, it must also include a DIGI IMAGE somewhere, but this doesn't have to be a Bee Crafty one.
OPTIONAL - Create a coordinating set (e.g., card + gift bags, tags, boxes...)

Please submit your entry by Saturday 10th April (Midday UK) by posting on your own blog and using Mister Linky below.

As this is our birthday, there are EXTRA PRIZES!!!

  • 3 digis for the overall winner
  • 1 digi each for 3 runners up
  • 1 digi for best use of a Bee Crafty image
  • 1 digi for the best coordinating birthday set

This week at Crazy 4 Challenges, we were challenges by Barbara Anders to create a card
using her fantastic skexth which has a Clean and Simple Theme.

Thanks Barbara for your fun challenge!!

Here is my DT card:

DCRU-Inspiration Post

Happy Thursday all you DCRU Fans!!!
As you you know the Die Cuts R Us Design Team members periodically bring you
Inspiration Posts, well, today is my turn and I am so excited for you all to see what I have for you!!

Ok, so by now, you have all seen the Puddle Jumpers, the stamps designed by
me, Lori Boyd exclusively for Claudia and Company!!

You also know how fun they are to create with whether making a Card, a Scrap Page or a Project!  Yep, we have all stamped them beside their pet and Voila ...instant cute card, but have you thought about ALL the possibilities just 3 little Puddle Jumpers can offer!?!?!?
Well, I have and here are a few I wanted to share with you today:

Puddle Jumpers are perfect for making bright fun and cheery designs...

Soft, vintage, shabby chic cards

You also know that they each come with their own little pet and that the pets can be
interchanged as you can see in this card:

However, did you know that the Puddle Jumpers have even more interchangeable options?
They sure do and this is how I  got started...
Color up your Puddle Jumpers and using your paper snips....just snip off their heads!!! Yikes!!!
That doesn't sound very nice...I know, but believe me you will be happy you did!!
Why, You ask??
Well, this is why:

Paper piece Daisy's head onto Emma's body....

Then, put Emma's head on daisy's body...

What about Daisy's head on...hee hee...Noah's body!!!
You wanna see more??? goes...

Try snip Daisy's pigtails off and switching sides...
Makes them look like brand new stamps... huh?!?!

So how many stamps are you REALLY getting, how many fun possibilities are there??
LOTS and LOTS, especially once you get all 3 of the new Puddle Jumpers being released on April 1st.
This post was so much fun and I hope you all have blast designing and paper piecing
your own Puddle Jumpers!!

Be sure to keep your eye on the Claudia and Company blog as all the
April Release festivities are about to begin!!

I received for Christmas 2 years ago...out of the box and give it a go!!!!!!!
I must admit the sewing machine is not the best quality, but it helped me
make todays' card, so I am thankful!!!

Die Cuts R Us - Color Challenge

It's Color Challenge time!!!
I personally LOVE color Challenges...they are my favorite!!!
This week's challenge is featuring the NEW
My Minds Eye Lush Collection!! Ahhh, WOW!!!

This FABULOUS collection comes in
Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Pink and Red
and can be found in the
DCRU store!!

We challenge you to use ONE of the colors from the
Lush Collection and White to create a Project, LayOut, or Card!!
Here is my LUSH color and my DT Card:
I used Emma for my card and gave her a fun vintage feel!!
I used an Oval-Spellbinders Nestie and then with my Cutter Bee Snips I cut all around
to give it a little different rugged look!! The Tim Holtz Distressing Ink helped
give it just a lil' something extra!!  The paper is Gorgeous and I honestly could have cut it into a square and propped it up, took a photo and it still would have been fabulous!!
I added a small dot to the middle of each soft dot, which in my opinion added a touch of somethin' somethin'!!
Hope you all get over and get ya some LUSH paper .... I Promise you WILL NOT be disappointed!!
It's my new favorite!!!

As a special treat this week, I am SUPER EXCITED to announce that
this challenge is being sponsored by My Minds Eye!!

One lucky randomly drawn winner will receive:
Each Member of the Design Team is featuring one of these luscious colors!!
So be Sure to hop over to the DCRU Blog to see all the beautiful creations!
